GivesBack22: The Results
Canal it up - BE
Canal it up organises kayak trips to remove waste from the canal. At the same time, they explain the problems they want to solve, such as floating waste, poor water quality, lack of nature and biodiversity, and the solutions they propose, such as deposits, waste barriers, green islands and stopping sewer overflows.
The Countrymen - BE
The scarcity of agricultural land and its high price are a major barrier for starting and established organic farmers. De Landgenoten wants to facilitate access to land for organic farmers by purchasing agricultural land and renting it out via long-term contracts.
In this way, De Landgenoten ensures the creation and continuity of organic farms that practice healthy agriculture and produce healthy food in a viable way, while taking care of the soil and biodiversity.
Stimulus free - BE
Prikkelvrij believes in the positive side of people: working together to set something in motion. With the new project Prikkelvrij Food Forest, they are committed to young people, nature and the community. They do this by creating a green oasis of peace and respect where everyone can find their place.
Brothers - BE
VZW Broes is an organization that unites children and young people in nature, with a focus on:
- connection (bringing people together, stimulating 'being outdoors' together)
- inclusion (involving people from disadvantaged backgrounds)
- social permaculture (big helps small, trust is central)
- ecology (zero waste, natural, local and vegetarian products…).
This is done through a variety of imaginative activities with an emphasis on bushcraft and nature education.
Bee Foundation Education - NL
The Bee Foundation Education has been actively working to protect bees since 2010. They do this by advocating for the banning of pesticides using legal procedures and by organizing petitions. In addition, they closely monitor national and European politics and stimulate initiatives to improve the food supply for bees.
They also provide information about wild bees and from the national Bee Education Center they offer Webinars, online courses, workshops and organize events such as National Sowing Day, World Bee Day and Mow May Not. The Bee Foundation Education is therefore fully committed to protecting and growing the bee population.
Good - NL
GOED develops renewable energy projects. With the proceeds they want to combat social inequality and strengthen social values such as sustainability, health and well-being for those who need it.
